Final Images Before Editing

Final Shoot.

Below are some of my favourite images from the final shoot I did with my model.
In the brief, we were told we had to choose a colour to base the image off and add some depth and dimension. I chose silver as I think this contrasted well with my models golden skinned complexion however looking back I feel this colour was too similar to my background. I asked my model to wear a silver/ grey jumper as well as a fake silver septum ring to add a new element to the face that would create dimension. The septum ring has a small turquoise gem in the middle of it that I think also adds colour to the image even though it is very small. Overall I am pleased with the natural makeup on my model and the final outcome of the images.

I really like the low-key lighting on this model as it accentuates her tanned skin and the highlight I used as makeup on the cheekbones and nose. I think these images would look good in black and white or in colour but at the moment I can't decide.

I think that this lighting best shows the natural makeup and skin tone of my model. The grey background is best for tanned skin as I found out when creating my test shots and I think these shots will be good for colour images.

I love this white balance on my model as it brings out the warmth and warm tones in her makeup and skin. It creates a beautiful golden glow to the images that will be good for colour images as well.

The black background in these images creates a more dramatic effect however still accentuates the natural beauty of my model. I thought using this background would make her hair blend in too much into the background however I think the lighting brings the features back out of the shadows and makes a beautiful shot that could be used in black and white.

I think that the daylight white balance in these images adds a brownish colour to the background which I quite like as I think it creates a warm tone to the entire photograph. I like the close up beauty shots I have done here as I feel like they really show the makeup skill and quality as well as being  visually/ compositionally beautiful.
